US metal band Corrosion of Conformity has started recording a new album. The band posted a picture of the studio with the caption “It has begun” on social media. The upcoming album will be the band’s first since 2018’s “No Cross No Crown”.

The band has recently undergone some changes. Last October, the band recruited former Down guitarist and current Pantera bass technician Bobby Landgraf as bassist for the Headbangers Boat cruise. This came after founding member and long-time bassist Mike Dean announced in September 2024 that he would be leaving the band.

The band has also confirmed that drummer Stanton Moore will return to the band for an upcoming album. The band’s original drummer Reed Mullin passed away in January 2020.
