Converge have shared their recent appearance in Audiotree’s From Nothing series, offering a sharp look at where the Massachusetts hardcore legends stand as they head into a major year. The session, filmed in May 2024 at Audiotree’s Chicago studio, blends live takes with short interview segments that explore how the group continue to push their sound after 35 years together.
The band used the performance to spotlight “We Were Never the Same,” a track from their upcoming eleventh album “Love Is Not Enough,” which arrives on February 13 through Deathwish Inc. Although the record marks a milestone for them, the band approach it with the same restless drive that has shaped their catalog since “Jane Doe” changed the landscape of heavy music in 2001. The session also revisits “Dark Horse,” “Eagles Become Vultures,” and “Under Duress,” which helps show how their mix of hardcore intensity and metal precision has evolved.
