Chinese blackgaze project Tassi is ready to take listeners on another deep, introspective journey. The new album, “Idamon Novasah-Liva”, will drop on May 31st, 2025, via Dusktone. The album promises a rich tapestry of post-black metal soundscapes blended with intense emotional depth.

To give fans a taste of what’s to come, Tassi has already unveiled the first single, “怪想录VII”, which you can check out below. The track sets the tone perfectly, offering a melancholic and dreamlike sound that hints at the emotional weight the full album is likely to carry.

Tassi is the brainchild of artist Dryad, who is also known for the project Bliss-Illusion. Within the story of Tassi, Dryad takes on the role of a wandering troubadour, searching for his lost beloved Uni – a symbol of perfect love and faith. His journey unfolds across surreal dimensions, where music becomes the true language of the soul.

“Idamon Novasah-Liva” continues the saga of the Northland and forms part of the ongoing “The Chronicle of Strange Thoughts” series. Musically, the album dives deeper into the realms of melancholic blackgaze and atmospheric post-black metal, crafting an emotional landscape that’s both haunting and captivating.
