Chelsea Wolfe announces new album “The Dark” – reveals new single with official video “Cold”

Loma Vista will release Chelsea Wolfe‘s ninth studio album, “The Dark,” on August 21, as per theprp. Today, July 21st, the folk doom musician revealed the details for that upcoming record. The announcement comes after she released two songs, the title track of this album and the song “Death Is Not The End.” You may watch the music video for the recently released third single from this new work, “Cold,” which was directed by Magdalena Wosinska. This album features guest performances by Matt Chamberlain (A Perfect Circle, Ghost), members of Kaelan Mikla, and Robin Finck of Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Nine Inch Nails.
The ghosts are haunted by the living just as much as the living are haunted by the ghosts. On this album, I’m not pointing the finger at anyone. I’m taking responsibility. Someone who may have been a toxic presence in my life.. maybe I was bad for them, too. It’s ok to move away from these types of connections that only seem to cause confusion for both parties, after a long stretch of trying to work it out.
