Alessandro “Vman” Venturella, the bassist for Slipknot, is the most recent member of the Iowan masked metal band to perform while wearing a revamped mask. The band made some changes to their masks since 2024, when they revamped their stage costumes to coincide with the 25th anniversary festivities for their 1999 self-titled first album. The multi-platinum group concluded the second night of the yearly “Inkcarceration Festival” in Mansfield, Ohio, on July 19. Venturella was wearing the seemingly new creation you see in the video below. Additionally, it appears that the mask might have some upgraded layers that made it possible to peel away certain pieces, exposing the more conventional ridged mask design that Vman has been known to wear. Slipknot dominated the 14-song set despite the uncooperative rain, however percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan was once again not present, as was the case with their last European tour. Prior to the aforementioned international excursion, he was reported to have been off the road attending to a family situation.
