To commemorate the introduction of a piece of cosmetic DLC for Street Fighter 6, Cavalera Conspiracy published a brand-new original song called “Piledriver.” As MetalSucks reports, his concerns Zangief, the enormous Russian wrestler. Since the game’s June 2023 release, he has been a playable character in Street Fighter 6, and he has been a part of the series for even longer. The fact that the song was released for his fourth outfit adds even more intrigue to this. Tomorrow will see the release of the DLC as well as the inclusion of C. Viper to the Street Fighter 4 cast. Takayuki Nakayama, the director of Street Fighter, posted the following on social media in reference to the song’s debut.

Having grown up listening to Sepultura, Soulfly, and Cavalera Conspiracy, I never imagined that one day I would work with heroes like Max and Iggor. When I found out they had accepted the job — bands I loved since my school days — our sound team, made up of other metal lovers, and I went absolutely wild with joy.

They showed us their raw and unique worldview in Morbid Visions, made history with Chaos A.D., collaborated with my equally beloved Mike Patton on Roots (my favorite album) and gave me a lot of motivation when I heard Back To The Primitive, by Soulfly. What I’m trying to say is that I am truly and deeply grateful! Thank you.

In more recent news, if you’re wondering why a kids’ book landed on a music news site, it’s because this one’s got metal in its roots. Co-written by Danny Marianino (North Side KingsCause for Alarm) and Gloria Cavalera (SoulflyCavalera ConspiracyNailbombIncite and many more), this story fuses heart, humor, and heavy music hints into a wild ride for a children’s book suitable for all ages.

Illustrated by legendary Australian artist Mick Lambrou, whose iconic artwork includes bands such as Agnostic FrontMurphy’s LawSlapshotMadball, and more; this marks Danny and Mick’s fourth book together and their first collaboration with Gloria.
