Cattle Decapitation drops behind-the-scenes documentary “From This Flesh” ahead of summer tour

To celebrate the two-year anniversary of their tenth studio album “Terrasite”, Cattle Decapitation has released a two-hour documentary titled “From This Flesh: A Cattle Decapitation Story” — and it’s more than just a studio recap.

Directed, shot, and edited by Australian filmmaker Nicholas VanVidler — the creative mind behind the band’s 2021 music video for “Finish Them” — the film dives deep into the making of “Terrasite” while organically tracing the band’s evolution. VanVidler documented the entire recording process and spent two years meticulously crafting the footage into a full-blown cinematic experience.

Frontman Travis Ryan describes the film as “insightful, intense, funny, sad, unfiltered, immersive,” adding that it unexpectedly became “an extremely introspective look into the band as a whole, with a specificity on how we write and record albums.” For diehard fans, this is one you won’t want to miss.

Looking ahead, Cattle Decapitation will hit the road across Europe this June for a three-week run of festival slots and headlining club shows. The tour includes appearances alongside Skeletal Remains, Incantation, Severe Torture, and Fit For An Autopsy.
