Carcosa share title track for new album “The Axe Forgets, The Tree Remembers”

Canadian deathcore act Carcosa have released the song “The Axe Forgets, The Tree Remembers”, the title track from their upcoming full-length of the same name. The album is set to drop October 15, 2025 via Arson Theory.

Vocalist Johnny Ciardullo says the record has been around three years in the making and touches on deeply personal themes, including childhood trauma and reflection. He describes it as a concept album that follows events tied to the names of streets he grew up on, and the emotional weight tied to those times.

Buster Odeholm (Vildhjarta, Humanity’s Last Breath) was responsible for mixing and mastering the album. The title single follows earlier singles, “Fade” and “1983”.

The band will hit the road this fall with Signs of the Swarm, Mental Cruelty, ten56., and Face Yourself. The tour kicks off October 2nd in Montreal and wraps November 2nd in Worcester.
