Carcass announce lineup change for the European tour with Kreator

Author Benedetta Baldin - 8.4.2026

Carcass have just revealed a change in their lineup for the remaining shows of the current European tour with Kreator, Exodus and Nile. Daniel Wilding on drums will be absent for the upcoming gigs, replaced by Waltteri Väyrynen of Opeth.

Due to some very unfortunate family matters our drummer @danwildingdrum will be heading home for the rest of this tour. The awesome @waltsunfyre is stepping in for the remaining shows. Dan will return for the U.S. tour.

Daniel Wilding himself also posted a statement:

As some of you may have noticed I haven’t been behind the drums for the last few Carcass shows. Due to some really unfortunate family stuff I have decided to head home to be with my loved ones at this time and therefore I will be sitting out the rest of the tour. The absolutely amazing @waltsunfyre is filling in for me for the remaining shows. He’s an amazing drummer and an equally amazing person and anyone who’s seen any of the recent shows will know he’s doing an amazing job. Huge shout out to Waltteri for stepping up last minute and to Jeff, Bill, James, @samuel_t_ , Dirk, Swiss, @begat_drummer_booboo, Steve, @stevenfolda and @alpha.karatzas – the incredible Carcass family for being the most supportive, amazing people I could hope to know.

See you lot out on the road again very soon

Dan
