Car Bomb drop animated video for new single “Blindsides”

Long Island’s experimental metal outfit Car Bomb have dropped “Blindsides,” the second single from their upcoming EP “Tiles Whisper Dreams”, due out August 1.st The track follows the earlier release of “Paroxysm” and marks their first new music since 2019’s “Mordial”.

“Blindsides” leans hard into the band’s signature mathcore chaos, blending jagged riffs with groovy rhythms and bursts of shoegaze melody. The band describes the song as a journey that contrasts heavy aggression with lush atmospheres and unpredictable shifts in tempo and tone.

The single arrives with an animated music video co-created by guitarist Greg Kubacki using the AI tool Midjourney. Styled like a retro anime trailer, the video takes cues from Akira, Aeon Flux, and the dreamlike world of David Lynch, adding a visually trippy layer to the track’s already intense energy.

“Tiles Whisper Dreams” features just three tracks but promises to deliver a concentrated dose of Car Bomb’s boundary-pushing sound. It will be available via Bandcamp and streaming services on August 1st.

To promote the EP, the band will head out on a European, UK and Australia tour in August and September, playing headline dates and festivals, as well as joining Gojira, Between the Buried and Me, Imperial Triumphant and Animals As Leaders on select shows.
