“Sea Glass” (on which Candice serves as Executive Producer) finds the artist in a unique place in her life and career. Over a 25 career which has seen Blackmore’s Night emerge as a unique chart-topping phenomenon blending medieval and renaissance music as well as collaborations including Helloween and William Shatner, she has also raised a family with husband Ritchie Blackmore.

“Sea Glass” is an album that observes life through a prism – looking through a kaleidoscope of sea glass colors with their own special glow at a lifetime of challenging musical adventures as well as the magic and demands of everyday life and family.

The idea of sea glass was that these pieces, these sharp shards of glass are completely thrown away and discarded and end up being taken away by the tumbling ocean, softened by time and returned to the land as these treasures that pop up. We go through this breaking down process. Our edges get ground down and we return to our land as treasures. And other people can see that in us as well.

The album draws from rock and country influences on tracks such as first single ‘Angel and Jezebel’ (featured on the album in two versions) as well as deft acoustic pop with ‘Unsung Hero (She’ll Never Tell)’.” Thematically “Sea Glass” touches on themes of loss and love (‘Sea Glass’ and ‘The Last Goodbye’ – both featuring Ritchie Blackmore on guitar) as well as the bond between parents and children and their wishes and dreams for the future (‘Promise Me,’ which, fittingly, features contributions from Candice’s son and daughter).

“Sea Glass,” features nine Candice Night compositions and a version of the beloved standard “Nature Boy,” brought together by Candice on what may be her most personal album to date. It is a journey across time and tides
