Canadian technical death metal unit Archspire has unveiled a the first single, “Carrion Ladder” from their upcoming album “Too Fast to Die”, due on April 10, 2026. The track arrives with a wild video directed by Oliver Rae Aleron and Dean Lamb, and it shows the band pushing their speed and creativity even further.

Since forming in 2009, Archspire have aimed for one thing above everything else, extreme music that never slows down. Aleron jokes that the band is “a bit of meth in your cigarette”, since fans often struggle to describe what they are hearing. Their songs hit fast, but they still find space for hooks, sharp grooves, and short clean passages that let you breathe before the next burst of chaos lands.

The new single also highlights drummer Spencer Moore, who joined in 2025. His presence brings fresh intensity, and he says he had to improve quickly to match the band’s demands. Once recording began, the material felt natural and the group locked into place with ease.

The album was recorded in 2025 with producer Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Khemmis, Aborted). The band stayed inside his Denver studio for months and focused on building their most intense record yet. “Too Fast to Die” follows the Juno winning “Bleed the Future” and marks their first fully independent release. Their crowdfunding campaign pulled in nearly $400,000 CAD in thirty days, which confirmed that fans were ready for this new phase.

With “Carrion Ladder”, Archspire open the door to a new chapter. They sound faster, sharper, and more playful while still leaning toward the edge of “too much”. The band now move forward with full creative control and a renewed sense of direction.
