Edmonton crust outfit Tension have dropped a new EP “Collateral Damage” today. The four-track release marks the band’s first proper EP and follows their 2025 demo “High Tension” and the standalone single “Drought.”
The record contains “Eye for an Eye,” “Borrowed Time,” “Not Running,” and “Carrion Feeders.” Tension recorded and mixed the release with Lealand Grauwiler, who also handled their previous material. New Alliance East handled mastering duties. Artwork comes from Emily Bueckert and Josh Bueckert.
Tension formed from the ashes of Edmonton hardcore act Ringleader and plays what they describe as dark, crusty rock rooted in d-beat and punk. “Collateral Damage” is available now on Bandcamp and other platforms.
