Released on 16 October 2015, “Bloom” captured the spirit of a band ready to expand beyond boundaries. It marked a turning point for Caligula’s Horse and for a whole wave of modern progressive metal. “Bloom” is a vivid and emotionally rich album that combines precision, technical mastery and genuine human warmth.
The band’s comment:
10 years ago, we released Bloom into the world – an incredibly special album that would become a statement as to who we are as a band and as people. The number of people we’ve met over the years for whom this album holds a special place has been overwhelming, and we’re truly humbled and gratified as we reach this milestone.
We hope that in times of struggle, Bloom will continue to be there for you.
Remember: You have what you need in you. Just let it grow.
The anniversary edition of “Bloom” contains four previously unreleased demos, including the track ‘Across The Universe‘, recorded in 2015, and an alternative cover designed by Chris Mangos based on the original artwork for ‘Bloom’.
Tracklist:
Next month, the band is supporting prog metal titans Opeth as special guest on their “The last WILL and TESTAMENT” tour in Australia and New Zealand.
The first two shows in the iconic Sydney Opera House are already sold out.
In January 2024, Caligula’s Horse released their 6th studio album, “Charcoal Grace”. It combines raw rock power with immense emotional depth. “Charcoal Grace” is borne of the static hopelessness that the pandemic forced upon the band and, indeed, much of the world, these past few years. It is an album reckoning with the experiences and outcomes of this time geared, ultimately, towards catharsis – moving towards a more hopeful future.
