Bring Me The Horizon are surprising fans by dropping a lo‑fi album titled “Lo‑files,” set to release this Friday, July 11th, 2025. The collection includes 23 lo‑fi reinterpretations of some of their most beloved tracks.
The band teased the project on July 8th, announcing a collaboration with several respected producers from the lo‑fi scene. They described the collection as designed “for chilling, focus, sleeping, zoning out… whatever you like,” marking a softer, more relaxed spin on their typically intense catalog.
This release continues the mellowing trend frontman Oli Sykes hinted at late last year. He mentioned wanting to share more of the material written during the “Post Human: NeX GEn” sessions—possibly in a “director’s cut”—but emphasized that he’s trying not to pressure himself with big promises.
The lo‑fi approach stands in stark contrast to the aggressive, genre-blending style of their 2024 album “Post Human: NeX GEn”, which debuted at No. 1 in the UK and earned several major award nominations. With “Lo‑files,” Bring Me The Horizon are diving into a more ambient, introspective vibe.
Fans can already pre‑save the album and check out teaser clips on the band’s socials, giving a taste of the chill reinterpretations set to arrive this week.
