Theprp reports that Brian Burkheiser, the former vocalist for I Prevail, has encountered some obstacles in launching his new solo career. The musician said in a social media post on August 25, that the project has so far been hampered by a disagreement with his former colleagues from I Prevail. This past May, Burkheiser parted ways with the platinum-certified metalcore group. He claimed there was “no beef” between him and his former bandmates in a string of social media posts from June of this year. In recent months, Burkheiser had been hinting to the release of his most recent musical endeavor, which was reportedly called Scatterbrain. Three weeks ago, Burkheiser, who has long advocated for mental health awareness, posted about going into a “manic state” this summer and said that his mental health was at a “all time low.” Burkheiser claims that in the end, he “got the help I needed” and was prepared to move on with the project.
