Brent Hinds (formerly of Mastodon) has passed away

Brent Hinds, formerly guitarist for Mastodon has passed away yesterday, at 51 years old. The news was first reported by Atlanta News First and subsequently by MetalInjection. The cause of death was an accident; Hinds was driving his Harley Davidson, and somebody driving an SUV model BMW couldn’t turn between Memorial Drive and Boulevard. His death was confirmed by the Fulton County medical examiner’s office. We wish to send our deepest sympathies to all his family, friends and loved ones.
