On February 3, 2026, comedian Dean Delray will commemorate his 60th birthday with the concluding installment of his renowned tribute show dedicated to Bon Scott and AC/DC. This event is promoted as a unique, one-night-only occasion that combines stand-up comedy with a live homage to the legendary AC/DC vocalist at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles, as per blabbermouth.net.

The performance will commence with an hour of stand-up comedy featuring Dean Delray, followed by a two-hour tribute focused on the Bon Scott era of AC/DC. This final tribute will showcase an impressive roster of distinguished rock musicians, including Josh Homme, Gene Simmons, Bill Burr, Brad Wilk, Steve Gorman, Larry “Ler” LaLonde, Billy Rowe, Mike Inez, and Josh Zee, with Delray performing as the lead vocalist.

For over four decades, Delray has curated an annual celebration honoring Bon Scott, collaborating with various prominent musicians and cultivating a distinguished roster of performers. Past participants have included notable artists such as Dave Lombardo, Josh Freese, Bill Burr, Greg Dulli, Juliette Lewis, Scott Ian, Scott Holiday, Steve Gorman, and Mike Inez, among others.

Bon Scott passed away on February 19, 1980, in London, England. He succumbed to asphyxiation caused by his own vomit while sleeping in a friend’s automobile. According to the AC/DC FAQ website, he and the musician Alisdair Kinnear had been consuming alcohol on the evening of February 19. Bon reportedly fell asleep during the journey home. Kinnear was unable to rouse Bon and left him in the vehicle to sleep undisturbed. Early on February 20, Kinnear checked on Bon and discovered him unconscious. Despite efforts, Bon Scott could not be revived and was officially declared deceased.

Bon Scott is featured on the first six studio albums by AC/DC, including “High Voltage”, “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”, “Let There Be Rock” and “Highway To Hell”.
