Blood Incantation bring out a short film about their album

American death metal band Blood Incantation announced the screening of their new short film “The Stargate”. This will be a visual to the first moments of their album “Absolute Elsewhere”, the first sprawling moment of their album.

A press release says:

“The Stargate” presents the saga of a mysterious artifact and its victims in a hallucinatory synthesis of science fiction and folk horror, where mind bending imagery and unsettling atmospheres converge in a surreal tale of primeval blood magic, interdimensional travel and grotesque otherworldly technology beginning in the Dark Ages and journeying into voids of deep space.

Directed by award winning cinematographer Michael Ragen (Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities: The Viewing) and featuring mesmerizing analog fluid effects by Chris Parks (The Fountain) with an original score by Blood Incantation, “The Stargate” is unlike anything you have experienced before.’

The short film will only be shown on September 10th at Brain Dead Studios in Los Angeles. The screening, which will be accompanied by the sci-fi horror “From Beyond”, will also see a Q&A with the band and cinematographer Michael Ragen after the short film. See the trailer below!
