Blackbraid Hellsinki Metal Festival 2024

Blackbraid to tour UK in April 2026

Author Benedetta Baldin - 16.11.2025

Now that “Blackbraid III” has been released, it’s time for Sgah’gahsowáh, the project’s mastermind, to introduce Blackbraid‘s atmospheric black metal to the general public. And a series of tour dates around the United Kingdom and Ireland would be the ideal way to spend the beginning of next spring. In April 2026, the tour will make seven stops. These are their first performances of the year; the first is scheduled for April 9 in Bristol, UK, and the last is scheduled for April 15 in London. They will travel through Dublin, Belfast, Glasgow, and many other major cities in that region. Winterfylleth and Noctem will accompany them on that trip as supporting acts. Blackbraid is a solo indigenous black metal project from the depths of the Adirondack wilderness creating music as raw and powerful as the mountains from whence it came…

The music of Blackbraid is inspired by the forces of nature in the land around us, overpowering emotions of rage and sadness, and the deep spirituality of the project’s creator, Sgah’gahsowáh; a southern native raised in the mountains of the northeast. His stage name was chosen to honor the Mohawk land which inspires much of Blackbraid’s music.

Blackbraid is a fiercely independent artist, viciously carving a new and inspiring path for indigenous people & underground musicians alike.

Blackbraid‘s latest release “Blackbraid III” was published on August 8th, 2025.
