Florida black, death, and doom metal act Worm has released a new single, “Blackheart”. The song offers a clearer look at what the band is working toward on their next full-length album, “Necropalace”. The band recently signed with Century Media, and the upcoming record stays firmly rooted in the band’s self-described necromantic black doom sound.
If you have followed their path from “Evocation of the Black Marsh” and later releases, this direction feels like a natural step. Still, “Blackheart” comes across as more focused and deliberate, suggesting it is part of a wider narrative rather than a loose single. Meanwhile, “Necropalace” is set for release on February 13, 2026.
The album was produced by Charlie Koryn (Ascended Dead, Morbid Angel, Incantation) and then mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (Kreator, Cavalera Conspiracy, Soulfly). It also includes a guest appearance from Marty Friedman on the closing track, which adds a high-voltage edge to the album’s final moments. Pre-orders for “Necropalace” are available now, and the countdown to February continues.
