Black Label Society’s new album includes two disappearing bonus tracks

Another band with a highly anticipated album that includes a limited-edition digital extra track is Black Label Society, as per MetalSucks. It appears that BLS‘s “Engines of Demolition” will do the same, as Lamb of God did earlier this month with “Into Oblivion” and the additional track “Wire.” The band claims that two exclusive tracks, “Broken Pieces (Unblackened)” and “Back To Me (Unblackened),” will be included on the digital deluxe version of the upcoming album. However, the digital deluxe edition can only be pre-ordered until tomorrow at midnight. You’re out of luck after that.

Bonus tracks were employed for a very long time to encourage customers to purchase the physical edition. These days, it’s basically an attempt by musicians and record labels to capitalize on FOMO in order to get listeners to preorder a more costly edition of the album. Additionally, even though Black Label Society is also selling some awesome physical copies of the album, such as a limited edition vinyl with even more exclusive additional tracks in “Name In Blood (Unblackened)” and “Lord Humungus (Unblackened),” it may have turned off some fans. It makes only sense that people would be irritated by this entire situation at a time when they are struggling financially.
