Bilmuri has released a new live video of his track “MORE THAN HATE”, as per theprp. The song is the fifth track on his latest release, “KINDA HARD,” led by Johnny Franck. The performance was recorded during a show on May 13th at The Pinnacle in Nashville, TN.
Launched in 2016 by Johnny Franck, Bilmuri — a play on the name of actor Bill Murray — began as a prolific solo endeavor, debuting with “Jaguar Shark” in early 2016 before issuing a self-titled record later that summer. Franck sustained an aggressive release schedule over subsequent years, dropping “Frame” and “Banana” in 2017, followed by 2018’s “Taco” and a cover of Owl City‘s “Fireflies.” After linking up with Caleb Shomo in late 2019 for “Thicc Thiccly” — a tongue-in-cheek parody of Attack Attack!‘s seminal “Stick Stickly” —Franck included the track on his December 2019 LP “Rich Sips”.
Expanding his collaborative scope, Bilmuri issued “Muri and Friends” in early 2020, recruiting guest vocalists over his production, and followed with “Eggy Pocket” in late 2020, featuring Dance Gavin Dance’s Jon Mess and members of Dayseeker. That same year, Franck appeared on Dance Gavin Dance‘s “Afterburner” track “Into the Sunset.” After touring behind his 2022 release “Goblin Hours”, Bilmuri‘s profile surged with an appearance at Babymetal’s Fox Fest in May 2024, culminating in a major-label deal with Columbia Records, the release of “American Motor Sports” in June 2024, and a European tour supporting Sleep Token that November.
Bilmuri continued his relentless momentum into June 2025 with the arrival of “More Than Hate,” a standalone single that signaled an upcoming full-length project and set the stage for his headlining “Unstoppable Bilmuri Summer Slammer Tour.” Early 2026 brought major chart traction for Johnny Franck’s project, driven by the March release of “Always Let You Down,” a high-profile collaboration with A Day to Remember frontman Jeremy McKinnon that climbed to No. 5 on the US Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart and No. 45 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs. Following the April drop of “Where to Find Me” — featuring French metalcore group Novelists — Franck unveiled his fifteenth studio album, “Kinda Hard”, on April 10. The record debuted at No. 108 on the Billboard 200, accompanied by a North American headlining tour in support of the release.
