Beyond the stage: Maynard James Keenan chronicles his martial arts journey
The leader of well-known metal/rock bands Tool and A Perfect Circle, Maynard James Keenan, has revealed a new film called “The Great In Between: An Introduction to Jiu Jitsu”, which is based on his martial arts background. On December 13th, the documentary will be available on Puscifertv.com. The 90-minute lesson, which was filmed in the Verde Valley Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy in Cottonwood, Arizona, is a hands-on tutorial designed for novices and those interested in Jiu Jitsu. Under the direction of Keenan and a team of accomplished black belts, the team builds a foundation for success in this self-assurance-boosting, problem-solving martial art by guiding viewers through the crucial development of stabilizing muscles and myelin connections. Puscifertv.com is currently offering pre-orders for the movie, which may be rented for 72 hours, as well as a number of commemorative merchandise packages. Chris Staab directed and Puscifer composed the music for “The Great In Between: An Introduction to Jiu Jitsu”.
