American progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me have unveiled the title track “The Blue Nowhere,” the third single from their upcoming eleventh studio album of the same name, due out on September 12th via InsideOut Music.
The new track arrives as the band continues to tease fans with a blend of their signature style and fresh musical directions. While deeper commentary on “The Blue Nowhere” is still emerging, the release confirms the album’s thematic and sonic evolution. The album marks a significant shift: it’s the band’s first release as a quartet, following the departure of guitarist Dustie Waring, and the first on InsideOut Music.
Fans can revisit the earlier singles for context. “Things We Tell Ourselves in the Dark” was released with a music video in June, 2025, while “Absent Thereafter” dropped in late July. That track was described by vocalist Tommy Rogers as fun, intense, and spacy, while bassist Dan Briggs likened its arrangement to “a Van Halen shuffle with Huey Lewis and the News horns,” showcasing a quirky, dynamic energy.
As the album’s release inches closer, fans are already engaging with its concept and sound, which feels conceptually inspired yet emotionally grounded. Among the most intriguing details is how the title song reflects a more accessible, reflective side of the band—details still unfolding with the new premiere.
