BETTER NOISE MUSIC, fresh from celebrating its fifth year as #1 Billboard and Media Base Active Rock Radio label, is further ramping up in 2025, proudly announcing four new key signings to the label:  Sabaton, Yellowcard, In This Moment and The Rasmus.

Having carved out unique identities in the rock world, each new signing is now primed to experience greater success in the USA and globally via their affiliation with BETTER NOISE MUSIC.

The label is known for its creative artist development, innovative cross-media strategies, and ability to build international success stories. Itwas named Billboard’s #1 Mainstream Rock Airplay Label and #1 Mainstream Rock Airplay Imprint of 2024, after its history-making run of 5 consecutive years as the #1 Mainstream Rock Airplay Imprint (2018-2022). In 2023 Allen Kovac moved up to Chairman role and over the last 2.5 years the company has been run by Dan Waite CEO, Steve Kline COO and President, Harris Masood CFO, and Paul Cormack GM.

Sabaton is the #1 GLOBAL POWER METAL BAND and one of Sweden’s biggest acts with 4 billion streams on Spotify alone. On April 25, they will unveil the single and video “Templars” as the first release from their first Better Noise Music album.

Since their 2005 debut album, they’ve released 10 studio albums (some of which have been certified as Gold, Platinum, and even Quadruple Platinum), seen eight of its albums score Top 10 international chart status, and six claim the Top 5.

We’re truly excited to begin this new chapter with Better Noise Music. After exploring various record labels worldwide, we found Better Noise to be the perfect fit. As an independent label, they haven’t traditionally focused on our style of heavy metal, making this collaboration particularly exciting. We’re excited to see how this partnership develops, confident that they’re ready to embrace the challenge of working with a band that brings a unique sound to their roster.

Pär Sundström

We’re thrilled to welcome SABATON to our roster. Their powerful music and storytelling have resonated with fans worldwide, and we’re eager to amplify their presence in the U.S. while continuing to grow their global impact. Lexie Viklund, the label’s Director of A&R

A JV signing with Playground music, The Rasmus are Finland’s 2th biggest act and #1 rock act—is a 6x Platinum and 8x Gold-certified, record-breaking outfit. On the heels of their first two singles for the label—Rest In Pieces” and Creatures of Chaos—they’ll issue “Break These Chains” ft. Niko Vilhelm of Blind Channel” on May 16. These tracks are all taken from the album “Weirdo”, arriving September 12 and marking their 11th studio album and first for Better Noise Music. The Rasmus have also generated an impressive 829 million global career streams. They’ll bring their unforgettable stage show to audiences worldwide in 2025 on the “WeirdoTour,” including a run with The Funeral Portrait in the U.S. which began April 18.

Working with Better Noise has been splendid, as we share the same mindset. The fact that they focus on long-term artist careers rather than just one single release aligns perfectly with what we strive for at Backbone Management. Their dedication to A&R, meticulous planning, and ensuring that everything is in place has been truly impressive. I am very much looking forward to a long-term relationship with Better Noise and taking The Rasmus’ already successful career to new heights. Antti Eriksson – The Rasmus Head of Management / Owner – Backbone Management

Yellowcard, one of the most influential bands in 2000s alternative rock, is nowworking on anew album for 2025 with producer Travis Barker. It will mark the Florida originating group’s first album of new material since 2016. They’ve sold over 3 million albums worldwide, earned over 1 billion global streams, and toured extensively across six continents. After officially disbanding in 2017, Yellowcard reunited in 2022 for the 20th anniversary of “Ocean Avenue” and have since reentered a new creative era. Read more info about Yellowcard below.

We are so excited to work with Better Noise Music on this new chapter for Yellowcard. After an unreal celebration of the Ocean Avenue 20 Year Anniversary, we are very grateful to have partners that believe in this band as much as we do. These are the most epic songs we’ve ever recorded, and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner to put them out into the world! Kristen Worden Harris – Le Grand Music – Manager – YELLOWCARD

Since 2005, the GRAMMY® Award-nominated and influential act has presided over a diehard fan base under the watch of “mother” figure and frontwoman Maria Brink—joined by co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel, and drummer Kent Diimmel. The band is now working on their ninth album and first for Better Noise, with tracks starting to drop in 2025. To date, in addition to the Gold-selling album, “Blood” [2012], the quintet has garnered six Gold and Platinum singles, followed by a trifecta of Top 25 entries on the Billboard 200 with “Black Widow” [2014] and “Ritual” [2017]. Between selling out headline tours coast-to-coast, the group performed in arenas everywhere alongside Disturbed and appeared at countless festivals from Lollapalooza to Sonic Temple. Better Noise is truly committed to utilizing the label’s knowledge and expertise to elevate each band to greater commercial heights. We are getting several enquiries from household name bands after 5 years as #1 rock radio label, from acts feeling overlooked in the major label system, or wanting to spread their success outside their home market and grow globally. When artists follow our system, it doesn’t matter if you are Five Finger Death Punch, Mötley Crüe, Papa Roach, or Nothing More, Dirty Heads, Bad Wolves, The Funeral Portrait, or From Ashes to New, together we have the most success in their career to date. When artists follow our systems, which is a unique system, and sometimes scary for artists, once they see the results they go all in. The ones that tell us early on that they are not going to follow our system, we choose not to get in business with. Better Noise CEO Dan Waite

Steve Kline says Better Noise is ready to build on each band’s success and enable them to artistically and commercially thrive at their new home.

We are beyond excited to welcome Yellowcard, Sabaton, The Rasmus, and In This Moment to the Better Noise family. These exceptional bands showcase the diversity and creativity that define our rich roster of rock and alternative artists. Each brings a proven global track record and a distinctive approach to rock music. We look forward to partnering with them and taking each band to the next level and beyond.  With the resources gained from selling part of our catalog, we continue our growth by investing in both our current roster and groundbreaking new signings. As the premier artist development company, we’re proud to see The Funeral Portrait continue their upward trajectory—currently Top 10 at rock radio with their second single, ‘Holy Water,’ following the #1 success of their Better Noise debut single, ‘Suffocate City.’
