Berlin-based psychedelic doom duo Grin has unleashed their latest single “Beneath The Altar”, the fourth taste of their upcoming album “Acid Gods”. The full album will drop on May 30, 2025, via The Lasting Dose Records.

The band, formed by married couple Sabine (bass) and Jan Oberg (drums, vocals), is known for their stripped-down but crushing sound. With fuzzed-out bass, thunderous drums, and gritty vocals, Grin crafts an immersive, heavy-hitting atmosphere. “Beneath The Altar” stays true to that formula, delivering thick, sludgy riffs and a hypnotic groove that fans of stoner and doom metal will feel in their bones.

“Acid Gods” will mark the band’s fifth full-length release. It was recorded at Hidden Planet Studio in Berlin, with Jan Oberg handling production, mixing, and mastering duties. The album’s visuals are the work of artists Dawid M. Piprek and Caspar Orfgen (of DAEVAR).

The new single follows previous releases from the album: “Unshut”, “Nocturno”, and “Drag Me Down” — setting the stage for what promises to be another massive slab of doom from the Berlin duo.
