Italian death-prog sorcerers Bedsore have officially signed with Season of Mist, marking a major new chapter as they gear up for their next full-length release. The Rome-based six-piece, known for their hallucinatory fusion of death metal, vintage prog, and horror-infused atmosphere, are now back in the studio crafting their third album.
Bedsore first turned heads in 2020 with their debut “Hypnagogic Hallucinations”, but it was last year’s “Twilight Cinema Presents: Dreaming the Strife for Love” that cemented their place in the genre’s outer reaches.
In a joint statement, founding members Jacopo Gianmaria Pepe and Stefano Allegretti shared their enthusiasm about teaming up with Season of Mist. They described the label as an ideal fit for Bedsore’s artistic vision, highlighting the creative freedom it offers and the opportunity to connect with a dedicated audience that values boundary-pushing music.
At the same time, the band acknowledged the crucial role that 20 Buck Spin played in their early career, expressing gratitude for the label’s trust and support that helped them reach this point.
Alongside the signing news, Bedsore also revealed they’ve partnered with Swamp Booking to handle their live performances moving forward. Although tour plans haven’t been made public yet, the band hinted that new music is already in development and suggested it will mark a bold evolution in their sound.
