The 27th of October was marked for all metal-lovers of France as a glorious day when three legends of metal music – Amorphis, Eluveitie and Arch Enemy – united to deliver the might and brutality…and beauty, wether it is atmosphere of Finnish nature, brought by Amorphis, enchanting celtic legends sung by the flamboyant Fabienne from Eluveitie or, well, Alissa White-Gluz. So, be welcome to witness all of that and more in the photo-gallery below, from the show at Zenith in Paris.
But, of course, the audience had to be warmed up pretty well for all that power and glory that were coming their way, therefore the show was opened by the US metal act Gatecreeper, turning it all into a smal metal festival.
Amorphis stroke with their cold dark melancholy and strong attitude, with a pretty balanced setlist of old and new material and being the finest representatives of Finnish culture.
Being straight-up a tiny 8-piece orchestra Eluveitie introduced the whole splendor of Celtic culture to the audience, as usual, emphasizing the stage presense with an impressive spectrum of folk instruments they were playing.
By the time headliners started playing the Zenith of Paris was completely full. France fans once again shown their devotion to the band, and the band confirmed it was mutual. The setlist was slower than last year, this time the accent was made on the more mid-tempo, but heavier riffed songs.
