Metalcore outfit Bad Omens have officially unveiled their new single “Specter”, marking their first original music release since their 2022 album “The Death of Peace of Mind”. Released via Sumerian Records, the track arrived with little warning—though the band had been teasing fans with cryptic “goodbye, friend” messaging in recent weeks.
“Specter” opens with moody, atmospheric production before gradually building into a sweeping, heavy electronic chorus. Fresh melodic layers and haunting lyrics—“Do you feel love? I know I don’t with no one to hold”—help set a dramatic tone.
The accompanying music video, directed by frontman Noah Sebastian and Nico, invites viewers into a dark fantasy world where themes of loss, betrayal, and the supernatural unfold visually. Actor Ryan Hurst, recognizable from Sons of Anarchy and Remember the Titans, features prominently in the video’s unsettling narrative.
At this point, it’s unclear whether “Specter” previews their fourth studio album or is a stand-alone release.
