Japanese kawaii-metal trio Babymetal have released their latest single “Kon! Kon!” featuring Indian metal outfit Bloodywood, ahead of the August 8th arrival of their new full-length album “Metal Forth” via Capitol Records. The track marks the second collaboration between the two bands, following 2024’s “Bekhauf” from Bloodywood’s album “Nu Delhi.”
The music video for “Kon! Kon!” captures the electric energy of their joint performance at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where the two bands delivered an intense and vibrant set. The visual showcases the chemistry between both acts, highlighting the global nature of metal and their combined stage power.
Babymetal are currently wrapping up their biggest North American tour to date. The 24-date trek, which began June 13th in Houston, includes support from Black Veil Brides, Jinjer, and Bloodywood on select nights. Stops have included major cities and festivals, all leading up to a milestone performance at the massive 18,000-capacity Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on November 1st—their largest U.S. headline show yet.
“Kon! Kon!” is the latest in a string of collaborations from Babymetal‘s upcoming album. “Metal Forth” will also feature previously released singles like “Ratatata” with Electric Callboy, “from me to u” featuring Poppy, and “Song 3” with Slaughter to Prevail.
