Swedish metal innovators Avatar have revealed plans for an ambitious headline tour across Europe and the UK in early 2026, promising their most spectacular live production to date.
The theatrical metal outfit, led by charismatic frontman Johannes Eckerström, will bring their unique blend of heavy music and theatrical performance to venues across the continent in what’s being billed as their most ambitious production yet. Eckerström declares:
“We are heavy addicts! For all the praise we’ve gotten for what we do on stage, we can’t shake the feeling that we have only just begun. Therefore, this tour is set to break every record and boundary of our past travels. I am not just talking about size. Everything must be better than ever. It’s what we live for, and what we promise.”
The band will first hit the road this summer supporting metal legends Iron Maiden for sixteen arena and stadium shows throughout Europe. They’ll then debut their new stage production with a special Halloween headline show titled ‘Noche De Brujas’ in Mexico City, coinciding with the country’s Day of the Dead celebrations.
The 2026 headline tour will see Eckerström alongside bandmates John Alfredsson, Jonas Jarlsby, Henrik Sandelin, and Tim Öhrström performing material spanning their 25-year career. A highlight of the run includes a Valentine’s Night performance at London’s new venue The Exhibition, housed in a Grade II listed building in White City.
