Austere drops new single “Storm Within My Heart” – new album lands in June

Australian black metal duo Austere has unveiled a brand-new single, “Storm Within My Heart”, giving fans a taste of what’s to come from their upcoming album “The Stillness of Dissolution”, due out June 6th, 2025, via Prophecy Productions.

Clocking in at just over nine minutes, the track is a slow-burning journey through bleak atmospheres and raw emotion. According to band member Mitchell Keepin, “Storm Within My Heart” came together during the final stages of the album’s creation and stands out as the most traditionally black metal offering on the record. Lyrically, it delves into inner conflict and the painful awareness of one’s own restraints — portraying a person caught in a relentless battle with themselves, yet unwilling to abandon their convictions.

“The Stillness of Dissolution” marks Austere’s fifth full-length release and continues the band’s revitalized era that began in 2021. The album was recorded and mixed at Équinoxe Studios in Wollongong, Australia. Mastering duties were handled by drummer-vocalist Tim Yatras, while the haunting artwork was created by Mitchell Keepin himself.
