26 November 2025 – Toronto, Ontario. The frigid air outside did not stop metal fans from pouring into The Opera House for Atreyu’s The Curse 2025 tour. With Zero 9:36 and Unearth on the bill, fans were ready for a night full of circle pits and sweat that was as nostalgic as it was fresh.
Zero 9:36 warmed up the crowd with an electric set that showcased the mesh of hip-hip and alt-rock that they have perfected. By the time Unearth took the stage, the crowd was thoroughly warmed up and ready to continue. Their set was by far the heaviest, and fans responded with the type of fury that had the Opera House’s balcony shaking a little more than usual.
The crowd roared as Atreyu made their way out. The band owned the stage fully aware that they are elders in the scene; completely unbothered. Frontman Brandon Saller balanced powerhouse vocals with the good-natured and sometimes goofy showmanship that makes Atreyu concerts feel so alive. The setlist spanned eras, with “Becoming the Bull” sending a wave of nostalgia throughout the venue and “Save Us” proving that newer Atreyu punches just as hard live. The Opera House may not be the biggest venue, but that didn’t stop the band from playing it like an arena. The energy never dipped. If anything, the band seemed to draw power from the crowd’s stamina.
Three bands, three different interpretations of heavy music and one room more than ready for all of them. Atreyu showcased the band at their most confident, Unearth brought the technical firestorm and Zero 9:36 proved they can open for pretty much anyone and leave with new fans. If you left The Opera House without a sore neck, hoarse voice or at least one new bruise, you probably weren’t actually there. The Curse 2025 tour is not one you want to miss.
