American metalcore band Atreyu are deep into writing their next studio album, with about ten songs already taking shape. According to frontman Brandon Saller, fans can expect new music in early 2026, as the band plans to wrap up writing and recording by the end of this year while continuing to tour.
Saller says the new material taps into the music they loved growing up and promises to be some of the heaviest they’ve ever written—signaling a bold shift in direction that could surprise longtime listeners.
The news comes as Atreyu prepare to release “The Curse 2025”, a fully re-recorded version of their 2004 breakthrough album. Produced by Kellen McGregor of Memphis May Fire, the album was rebuilt from the ground up without former vocalist Alex Varkatzas. Vinyl pre-orders are live now, with shipments expected in early August.
In late 2024, the band dropped “The Pronoia Sessions”, a collection of reimagined hits and covers, while also marking “The Curse” albums’ 20th anniversary with full-album shows in California and abroad.
