Atreyu release an obituary notice about themselves

Gold-certified melodic metalcore veterans Atreyu have released a new update after leaving all social media accounts blacked out and only putting the message “R.I.P.” last week, leaving fans wondering. As reported from MetalInjection, on a subsequent post, the band invited followers to a unique “remembrance” event that will take place on September 17 at midnight. Fans are invited to confirm their participation on atreyuisdead.com in order to join the enigmatic meeting. Atreyu has not disclosed any additional information on the event’s nature. The band is obviously embracing their penchant for theatrics, but it’s unclear if this is a theatrical departure, a symbolic rebirth, or a mysterious marketing push for new music. They can’t be retiring as of yet, because they have shows planned for 2026 still. So I guess we’ll just wait then.
