Anglo-Spanish atmospheric doom collective TodoMal have signed to Season of Mist. The band also confirms that new material is now finished.
TodoMal formed in 2020, founded by Christopher B. Wildman and Javier Fernández Milla. Both come from the Spanish underground scene, and the project draws on solemn doom, expansive rock, and cinematic atmosphere rooted in the landscapes of northern Alcarria and Matarraña.
Their debut, “Ultracrepidarian,” arrived in 2021. The follow-up, “A Greater Good,” landed in 2023 and earned spots on several end-of-year lists. Mondo Sonoro ranked it in their Top 10 of 2023. No Clean Singing, The Sleeping Shaman, and Zware Metalen also praised the record. Strong demand led to a second physical pressing.
Since then, TodoMal expanded to a five-piece live lineup. The additional musicians have ties to Teitanblood, Graveyard, and Maud the Moth. The band has played Be Prog! My Friend, Under The Doom Fest, and Frantic Fest, sharing stages with Candlemass, My Dying Bride, and Dødheimsgard.
The band expressed genuine enthusiasm about the signing, noting their gratitude toward Season of Mist founder Michael Berberian and his team. They described the deal as a meaningful step toward reaching a wider audience, something that felt out of reach when they started five years ago.
With new material completed, TodoMal now move forward into a new phase with Season of Mist.
