Atlas unleash new album ‘Sunder’

Love conquers death – “Sunder” distils the central credo of Atlas into a modern metal work filled with haunting atmosphere and crushing rhythm. The album is available today on all platforms and as ice-blue transparent vinyl and digipak CD. The new lyric video for ‘Tower’ was also released today.

Known as messengers of melancholy, Atlas forge a unique Nordic strain of modern metal where raw emotion meets cinematic scale. The Finns blend ancient echoes and Northern mysticism with a contemporary edge, shaped by monumental and emotive production. Mixed and mastered by Buster Odeholm (Silent Planet, Vildhjarta, Born of Osiris, Thrown), “Sunder” builds a sonic bridge between worlds old and new.

Just this past fall, Atlas impressed audiences as an energetic and atmospheric opening act on Orbit Culture’s European tour, followed by appearances on Amorphis’ Finland tour in December 2025. International press praised them as a raw force that quickly captivates audiences with their intensity. Epic choruses combined with an impressive light show that rendered the band members as dark silhouettes, created the feeling of being part of a hidden, mysterious ritual. It comes as no surprise that Orbit Culture are taking the five Finns with them to North America on their current major tour.
