As I Lay Dying reveal headlining show in Israel – and the controversy starts
On March 23, As I Lay Dying will play at Zappa in Tel Aviv, Israel, as per Lambgoat. Given the ongoing massacre in Gaza, the action is just another contentious act from the problematic act. This information was revealed after the band had previously scheduled performances in Russia in spite of their invasion of Ukraine. As I Lay Dying‘s decision to perform in Israel amid their ongoing war with Palestine has drawn criticism since the show’s announcement. The band posted the following in response to a user remark on their announcement.

The band, which was founded in 2000 by singer Tim Lambesis, had its first complete lineup in 2001, which included Jordan Mancino, a bandmate from Lambesis’ Point of Recognition. Eight albums, one split album, and two compilation albums have been released by the band. “An Ocean Between Us”, As I Lay Dying’s fourth studio album, reached its highest position at No. 1 on the Top Rock chart and No. 8 on the Billboard 200. Wacken Open Air, With Full Force, Soundwave Festival, Warped Tour, Bloodstock Open Air, and Taste of Chaos are just a few of the festivals the band has played at.
