Long-term absences and hiatuses are nothing new to fans of iconic alternative metal singer Mike Patton and his numerous bands and endeavours, as per theprp. All of Patton’s bands, from Mr. Bungle and Faith No More to Tomahawk and Fantômas, have uncertain futures. However, considering that Faith No More appeared to disintegrate once more with the cancellation of a tour in 2021, the band’s disappearance during the epidemic struck fans rather hard. Even though it was later discovered that Patton was experiencing mental health problems at the time, he sought professional assistance and went on the road with other projects in the years that followed.
This month was a boost to many who were hoping that Faith No More would put aside their most recent disagreements and come out of their current hiatus. This month, two of the group’s ostensibly distant members had a brief reunion in San Francisco. Backstage at AVTT/PTTN‘s May 8th performance at the Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco, California, Patton and Faith No More drummer Mike “Puffy” Bordin were spotted together. In the pictures from the San Francisco concert below, the couple clearly seemed pleased to see one another. It’s unclear if this will affect Faith No More‘s standing, but at least it’s good to know that they are still cordial.
