When a door closes, a gate opens, we say in Italy. And that is most likely what happened to Christian Olde Wolbers. He has decided to call the new band Ängst Fabrik. Wolbers, who is well-known for his work with Fear Factory, Powerflo, Vio-lence, and other groups, formally revealed the project on February 24. The album’s launch is anticipated in 2026, and the name is a “working title.” Scour, Pig Destroyer, and Misery Index star Adam Jarvis has agreed to play drums for the project. Wolbers unveiled the logo, which is reminiscent of Fear Factory designs, but no music has been released as of yet. Although Wolbers and his former Fear Factory comrades had a tense legal history, they most recently appeared to have reconnected with Fear Factory frontman Burton C. Bell. This news comes to us just right after Wolbers announced parting ways with Vio-lence.
