Angel Du$t Drop joins forces with Run For Cover – releases two new singles

Author Teemu Hakala - 9.7.2025

Baltimore’s genre-blurring hardcore outfit Angel Du$t have officially joined the roster at Run For Cover Records, unveiling their first release—a fiery 7″ single titled “The Beat”. The vinyl-backed debut for the new partnership also includes the relentless B-side “The Knife” and a vinyl-exclusive cover of Bugg’s “I Don’t Wanna Hear It” featuring Scott Vogel of Terror.

Recorded with longtime collaborator Brian McTernan, who also produced Angel Du$t’s 2014 debut “A.D.”, the pair of tracks positions the band at the intersection of hardcore fury and rock & roll swagger. “The Beat” is propelled by a pounding riff and energetic guest vocals from Taylor Young of Twitching Tongues, God’s Hate, Deadbody, and Regional Justice Center, while “The Knife” adds layers of psychedelic stomp that contrast the title track’s aggressive charge.

Frontman Justice Tripp noted that the move to Run For Cover felt natural, pointing to the long-time friendship and shared creative ethos between the band and the label. The label shift comes after a prolific stretch with Roadrunner Records, including the band’s 2023 album “Brand New Soul”, which marked a high point in their already shape-shifting discography.

To coincide with the release, Angel Du$t have announced a summer UK run with headline shows in Newcastle and Leeds, wrapping up at London’s United & Strong Fest. A full North American tour will follow this autumn, featuring dates with Fleshwater, Narrow Head, Ovlov, and more. The tour includes a stop at the CBGB Festival in Brooklyn on September 27th.
