Amerakin Overdose slam a promoter with their new track “Parasite”

Author Benedetta Baldin - 18.10.2026

Masked industrial nu metal ensemble Amerakin Overdose has released a visual presentation accompanying their latest single, “Parasite.” This composition was conceived as a reaction to a performance held on August 8th in Salem, Oregon, during which the band asserts that the promoter failed to remunerate the entire lineup of participating artists. Approximately 180 tickets were sold for that event.

The incident prompted local media coverage, prompting additional individuals to report similar grievances against the promoters. These promoters were subsequently dismissed from their association with the venue due to owing substantial unpaid rent totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. Source.

‘Parasite‘ is about the predators in your life who will take absolutely everything they can from you without a second thought, leaving you completely damaged. It’s an anthem about finally recognizing these toxic entities for what they are, taking back your power, cutting them out of your life, and burying them permanently. – Cody Perez
