Colorado technical death metal band Allegaeon has released a video for “Dark Matter Dynamics”. The track is from their latest album “The Ossuary Lens”. Director Kyle Lamar shot the video, which features guest guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Adrian Bellue.
Guitarist Greg Burgess describes the song as a personal milestone, combining his love of steel string acoustic playing with the band’s signature sound. He calls the collaboration with Bellue, an acoustic guitarist he respects deeply, equally meaningful.
Vocalist Ezra Haynes credits Burgess for introducing him to Bellue. He calls the chorus the most jump-worthy riff the band has ever written. He also notes the track reflects Allegaeon‘s science-based themes and showcases the range of “The Ossuary Lens” through its contrast between atmospheric and heavier sections.
