All the bands that have paid tribute to Ozzy Osbourne during their live shows

After the news broke that Ozzy Osbourne had passed away, many artists shared their feelings on their social media. But other artists were either performing or starting a performance at the time, or decided to homage him in their next shows. Here are some bands that are included in this last category:

We’d like to pay our respects to Black Sabbath. We’ll play a song for Mr. Ozzy Osbourne. Without them there is no Mastodon. Without Black Sabbath, without Ozzy, there is a lot of none of this. So let’s turn sadness into a celebration for about five minutes, Mastodon in Athens, Greece. One song from Black Sabbath, ok? This is a number they called “Supernaut“.

We found out that Ozzy had passed away from Sky news 20 minutes before we walked on stage to the opening night of our European tour. In a state of sadness and shock we made the decision to forgo our usual opening setlist. Following our intro of Ozzy‘s “Diary of a Madman” (that we’ve opened every Machine Head show with for the last 30+ years) we started the show with two Black Sabbath songs. “War pigs” and “Children of the grave“, everyone sang, everyone knew tonight meant something, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house
There’s so much more to say about the power of the Ozzy‘s songs, but for now, we’ll let his music do the talking
