North Carolina hardcore outfit Advent, fronted by vocalist and drummer Joe Musten of Beloved fame, has dropped a new four-track EP titled “God Is The End”. The release marks their first new material since the 2017 EP “Pain & Suffering”.

Produced by Jeremy White, the EP delivers Advent’s signature brand of heavy, unrelenting hardcore, bolstered by guest appearances from members of Ends of Sanity, A Knife in the Dark, and Invoke. The tracks blend crushing riffs, aggressive vocals, and a dark, brooding atmosphere, staying true to the band’s intense and uncompromising sound.

Advent originally formed in 2005 following the breakup of Beloved, with Musten, guitarist Mike Rich, and bassist Johnny Smrdel at the core. After two full-length albums—”Remove the Earth” (2008) and “Naked and Cold” (2009)—the band disbanded in 2011, only to reunite four years later and release “Pain & Suffering” in 2017.

Now, with “God Is The End”, Advent picks up right where they left off, sharpening their edge with fresh energy and a few new voices in the mix. They’ll also return to the stage later this year, playing a special set on October 2nd, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama, as part of the Furnace Fest pre-show lineup with Magnitude, Stick To Your Guns, The Warriors, and Shogun.
