US metal giants Slipknot spent the summer writing and recording new music, and lead singer Corey Taylor announced at the end of August that the band’s upcoming album was in the final stages of recording.
Now Taylor has given an interview to The Eddie Trunk podcast, revealing that the album is still a bit of a work in progress but the singer suspects the band will probably release its first single in November. Taylor had the following to say about the album’s status:
“Actually, it’s pretty much done. I’d say it’s probably about eighty percent done. We’re finishing up some music, [and] I’ve got a couple more songs to sing. However, I will say this – don’t be surprised if in the next month or so you hear something new.”
Slipknot’s latest album “We Are Not Your Kind” was released in 2019.
