Bruce Springsteen is worth a billion dollars. A “conservative” Forbes assessment puts the Boss’s net worth at $1.1 billion. Springsteen has enjoyed financial success in recent years. He made approximately $500 million when he sold his publishing to Sony Music Publishing and his masters to Sony Music in December of 2021. He has also been touring since February of last year, and Variety reports that despite criticism regarding ticket costs and a number of cancelled performances, the tour has made $380 million in income. Most recently, Springsteen made his debut on the Billboard Hot Country Songs list after appearing on Zach Bryan‘s song “Sandpaper.”
This year, a number of musicians have broken the $1 billion mark, not just Springsteen. When Paul McCartney accomplished this back in May, he became the first British musician to become a billionaire. Similar to Springsteen, McCartney attained such a position as a result of recent events, such as the 2023 release of the Beatles‘ “final” song, “Now and Then,” and Beyoncé‘s rendition of “Blackbird” on her most recent album, “Cowboy Carter”.
