Dani Filth, lead singer of metal band Cradle Of Filth, says in a recent interview with Metal Hammer that Bård “Faust” Eithun, drummer for black metal legends Emperor, confessed to the murder he committed against him in 1992.
Filth says that Faust had told him at a party in Liverpool after a COF concert that he had killed a homosexual man. Filth says he did not believe him at first because Faust was drunk.
“We played at the Royal Court in Liverpool then had a massive party. Faust came up to me pissed out his head and told me about murdering a gay guy. I dismissed it as a load of crap but when it all came out I felt like an accessory to murder after the fact.”
Faust was convicted of murder in 1994 and sentenced to a total of 14 years in prison, but ultimately served only 9 years and 4 months.
Cradle Of Filth just released their new album “Existence Is Futile”.
Emperor will perform at Psycho Las Vegas 2022.
