The “Sick New World” festival’s 2026 comeback is still officially under wraps, but some fresh information about the event’s date and location has recently appeared online. First off, according to the festival’s official press application, the resurgence will happen on April 25, 2026. The application page from the previously stated leak has been viewed directly by Theprp.com. The event will once again take place in the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to an extra page that was added to the festival’s website’s support section. The event’s lineup has not yet been finalized as of this writing. But it’s very probable that System Of A Down will headline again.
The “Sick New World” festival encountered its first significant obstacle in late 2024, following two prosperous years in 2023 and 2024. Months before it was supposed to start, the 2025 edition of the festival was canceled due to poor ticket sales and an expensive bill that was overbooked with bands. According to reports, that unfortunate and undoubtedly ambitiously booked lineup included $5 million guarantees for Linkin Park and Metallica alone, putting too much money at risk in the case that it didn’t sell out. Other performers included Daron Malakian’s Scars on Broadway, Three Days Grace, Down, Mudvayne, Machine Head, Arch Enemy, Queens of the Stone Age, Evanescence, Ministry, Gojira, 311, and numerous others.
